Camera Phone Advancements
Let’s face facts, as neat as it is to take a picture with your cellular telephone, the pictures are not all that great. As a matter of fact they are poor at best, with grainy nature and blurry images the people who use the camera phones for more then just that quick little snap shot are demanding more and Samsung is giving that to them in high style.
Samsung has announced that it will start selling its new camera phone with the capability of taking a ten megapixel picture. For those who already use the Samsung phones this is no surprise. Since their development, Samsung picture phones have been a lot better in quality then the close cousins from competing companies, but they are still not top notch. The new version is the highest resolution of any camera phone currently offered and Samsung is bank a lot of the popularity of this product.
The phone was officially unveiled in Germany at the Cebit 2006 festival, the largest international technology event in the world. This came as quite a surprise considering the fact that many phone makers are moving away from the digital camera technology and moving towards the emerging multi-media markets that are in such high demand. Samsung expects the phone too sell well all over the world.
For those interested in the phone you should not write the check just yet. Samsung has announced that the phone will start being offered in their home market only. There is a chance that you will be able to pick this deal up through one of the many internet sites but the supplies and support will be limited until the time when the phone is released for the U.S. market.
The company has come under fire by many of the large cellular phone service companies because of the cost. Samsung phones have always been a bit higher in price then the normal offerings, but the new version is set to break all the records. At the time of the release the new Samsung phone will be offered at nearly one thousand dollars. This limits the deals that the service companies can make on the phones, as they are fond of offering the phone for free when a person signs a two or more year service agreement. There is little worry by Samsung though and they are confident that the sales of the phone will more then make up for the hassles they are getting by the service providers.
